June 27, 2025 - Cambridge City Hall, Cambridge, Massachusetts
Nick and Charlotte gathered with around 30 of their closest friends and family to celebrate their marriage at Cambridge City hall on a beautiful summer day. I was honored to document the joy and beauty of their momentous day which included tears, bubbles, epic toasts, and a fantastic meal at Althea.
We were not allowed in the room during the actual ceremony, so I waited for the couple at the grand staircase and captured their triumphant introduction. This staircase is the most striking feature of the building's interior so it was already in my shot list.

The shooting conditions were tough, so I shot with a full-frame camera and a fast prime lens to make sure I could deliver a beautiful result. Moment successfully captured!
The exterior of Cambridge City Hall, however, has a lot to offer aesthetically. We decided to take formal portraits and group photos on the front lawn to highlight its architecture and inviting foliage.

After checking off all our group photo permutations, we started our short walk to Althea for the reception. I loved the challenge of documenting the party as they strolled through Central Square. It was a rare opportunity to combine my infatuation of street photography with my professional work and it resulted in some of my favorite photos from the day.

As we arrived at Althea, I grabbed some detail shots and candids so the couple would have memories of the lovely environment they created for the reception. Everyone was giddy and chatty as they sipped their drinks and mingled.

Then, dinner was served and toasts were given. Once of my favorite aspects of wedding photography is bearing witness to earnest declarations of love and appreciation -- it never fails to get me! Based on the candids I shot, it gets other people too.
